About Our Coaches

Head Coach

Brenna Diller, is from Hiawatha, KS, earned her Bachelor of Arts degree in Exercise Science in May 2024. She plans to pursue her graduate degree at Ottawa University while continuing to play both indoor and beach volleyball as a defensive specialist for the university's team in Kansas. Brenna's passion for volleyball extends beyond playing; she has also dedicated herself to coaching, serving as a head coach for Club Volleyball for the past two seasons, primarily working with athletes at the 12 age level.

Assistant Coach

Haylee O’Meara is from Liberty Missouri, and is planning to pursue a degree in marketing at Ottawa University while playing for their indoor and beach volleyball programs as a setter. Haylee has been playing volleyball since she was in 4th grade, and finished 3rd place at nationals her 17s season, and 5th place in her 18s season. Haylee has always enjoyed coaching, and served as an assistant coach to Brenna Diller during the 2022-2023 season in the 12s age group.

Director

Angela developed last season’s U10s team run under KC Lightning VBC. After a successful season, KC Surge VBC was created to expand our reach, aiming to create additional teams and experience to more players. Angela works full time as a Financial Systems Architect and a mom of two multi-activity daughters and one adult son. She played softball from a young age into her late twenties. She has 6 years coaching her children’s volleyball teams, including assisting her son’s High School Volleyball team for Blue Valley Northwest. She is compassionate about empowering confidence and growth mindsets in her young players, preparing them not just for success in sports but for success in all aspects of life.
